New Job - Big changes!

Today was my first day at my new job. Two weeks ago I was there all day 2 days, but I was helping in the adult day center. Learning how the day center works and seeing how things are run. It's a great facility and a fabulous program.

However, I'm going to be helping to lead the Jump start program. This is a program for seniors diagnosed with Early Alzheimers or other memory issues. Basically it's a 4 hour program 2 days a week. We do mental fitness exercises, puzzles, quizes, and lots of other activities to get their brains working in different ways and build new neuron pathways. It's a very exciting program and is really making a difference for the clients.

The long term goal for me is to start a class on Tues and Thurs at Holy Cross. We're still working on getting enough people to run the class so I'm working on learning the ropes.

I was just telling Mark though that it's going to take some adjustment for me to get the schedule down. I"m struggling with taking the boys to Summer Kids Inc., they love it, but I still have a little bit of guilt over the whole day care thing.

Then there's the trying to adjust to getting the stuff done at home that I usually do, getting to work on time, getting the kids to and from kids inc, and tennis classes. Yikes! What a day.

Then there's the usual stuff at the church and a few extra things. Lots of busy crazyness.

It's just gonna take me a while to get used to a new schedule and all the changes that go with it. Part of the challenge is that I'm working every other week for the first 6 weeks. It's feeling like life interupted. As soon as I get everything down everything changes. Oh well, that's life and eventually I'll get it figured out, or not so much, but hey what more can you do but try!

Now that I've gone on forever. Have a good day!
